Mandi, what you said was so true on just throwing your stuff in the diaper bag. I always did that, but found that once my youngest was no longer in diapers I had no use for the diaper bag, but no place for my stuff. What I did instead was, go to the local outlet mall and buy a cute cheap tote bag (I got two for $9.00 a piece). I thought that it would work as it was roomy enough for my wallet and stuff and I could still put snacks and sippy cups in it. It worked well for a day or two and then I couldn’t find anything in the bag. While complaining to some other moms at story hour, one of them gave me the website of the best product. They’re called Joey Junior Purse Organizers (at www.joeyjunior.com) and they work so well I now give them as gifts to every mom I know. What makes them great is that they are flexible enough to hold lots of stuff but sturdy enough to keep the sides of my totes upright. I can fit a ton of junk in them and, yes you have to organize it but I do it at my son’s soccer games or in the doctor’s office while waiting for him to come in, or anywhere I have a few minutes to throw the stuff where it belongs. The Purse Organizer also works really well in diaper bags. My sister has a nine-month-old (Miles) and I gave her one a few months ago. They fit bottles, jarred baby food, spoons, wipes and all the other little things that fall to the bottom of your bag. You might want to check Joey Junior out.

I don't have a purse organizer and I don't think it would be beneficial for me.

My problem is that since I'm always rushing whenever I need something I just throw it in my purse. If I can't find a place to put a receipt or important paper I throw it in my purse. I dread changing purses because I don't like cleaning out my purse.

I don't like having things in my pockets, including my coat pocket so carrying just the essentials is not an option...I'm just doomed.

You crack me up! I hate to carry a purse too. Lip gloss and keys in my front pocket. Debit card and license in the back. Cell phone in hand and away we go! I used to use the diaper bag to put my wallet or other stuff I might need. Now, I do have a bag I carry in the car that has my planner, mints, pens and other things I might need during the day. But, I just carry the basics with me.

My struggle was always keeping the store credit cards and membership cards and savings cards and blah blah blah cards organized. My mom gave me this little zippered organizer that holds a gazillion cards but I can still fit it in my hand. Works great!
